- Sow Wallflower 'Lollipop' into drills and cover with 1/4 inch of soil. (Germination takes 10 - 14 days) Transplant in the autumn leaving a space of 8 inches between the plants.
- Sow Wallflower 'Sugar Rush F1 Hybrid' into trays of seed compost at 15 - 18 degrees celsius and cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. (Germination takes 7 - 14 days) Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 6 cell trays and grow on prior to planting out in October leaving 12 inches between plants.
July
- Sow Primrose 'Arctic Mixed' in a propagator at 15 - 20 degrees celsius. Cover with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite (Germination 10 - 30 days). Do not exclude light or allow to dry out. Transplant into 2 inch pots before repotting into 3 inch pots and planting out in September/October.
- Sow Polyanthus 'Large Flowered Mixed' in a propagator at 15 - 18 degrees celsius. Do not exclude light or allow to dry out. (Germination 10 - 30 days). Lightly cover with vermiculite when seedlings start to show. Transplant into 2 inch pots before repotting into 3 inch pots and planting out in September/October.
(Early July) - Sow Wallflower 'Fire King' into drills and cover with 1/4 inch of soil. Thin out to 6 inches between each plant to obtain bushy plants. In early autumn pinch out the main growing point before transplanting 12 inches apart.
